Our First Meeting

Our first meeting was Friday night. The full moon rose orange over our tent site--it was so beautiful! By the time all the auto-rickshaws arrived from the 4 outlying villages, we had about 200 people attending. They welcomed us with flower garlands (again!) They even put all pur team member names on the sign at the back of the platform! As usual, the children come first-lots of them! We had no major glitches-no power outages, no equipment failures, no dogs peeing on the guitar case! The team did great--Harry preached, Emily had the children's story, and Judy had the health talk. We all taught action songs, which is always lots of fun. Our girls loved sitting on the ground with the kids. We met with all the Bible workers and pastors afterwards, and got home by 10:45PM. Steve was greeted by his resident soap-eating rat when he opened his door! He plugged the hole again--this time with his bath mat--we'll keep you posted, but so far it's Steve 0 and the rat 2!
